Our West Coast Headshot is our natural light headshot. We use a combination of reflectors and accent lights in the shot, but the main light in this style of photo session is the sun It’s a style of photography that’s very popular in California and that’s why we call it our West Coast Headshot. We chose our west loop loft because of it’s large windows and amazing access to natural light. Unlike our East coast headshot which can be done anytime time of day we prefer to do our West Coast look while the sun is out. This style of session doesn’t use a back drop. We use the natural ambiance of the studio to create a looser more easy going photograph. I love this style of headshot and I think it works great for both our actors and corporate clients.
As a photographer, it’s my job to not only make sure that the lighting is perfect and the camera settings are all correct, but also to coach you into the perfect expression. Almost every week I have a client tell me that they’re not photogenic, and every week I prove them wrong. As part of the process we review the images from the shoot as we go. The session isn’t over until the client is happy with their images.
